All sales of the Authorize.net plugin for WordPress currently sold on https://simplecreditcardpayments.com/ have been suspended. As highlighted below, support availability will end October 31, 2016.

Secure and stable

The current release of Authorize.net for WordPress, 2.6.0, is secure and stable. It conforms to the latest guidance from Authorize.netand is in their directory of certified integrations. Hundreds of sites just like yours depend on this plugin to take credit card payments.

Why suspend sales?

I am turning my focus to new software and service based products that will better serve my existing and future customers. To accomplish this, I have made the choice to discontinue development of this product.

License restrictions

The license terms, which are distributed with the plugin, have not changed. This means that you are still bound by the terms of the license and are free to continue using the plugin on sites you own.

Posted by Daniel Watrous on 02 November 2014 09:04 PM

There have been some questions about whether Authorize.net for WordPress or Simple Credit Card Payments are vulnerable to the most recent POODLE security flaw in SSL v3.

The short answer is NO.

The cURL library is used through PHP to communicate with the Authorize.net servers. cURL is not vulnerable and no changes are required to address the POODLE security flaw. The current version of the plugin remains secure.

Additional information about cURL and POODLE can be viewed here: http://daniel.haxx.se/blog/2014/10/17/curl-is-no-poodle/
